Carroll County Cares Story

Hello, my name is Rachel! I am a Girl Scout for the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland Council. I have earned both my Bronze and Silver Awards for Girl Scouting.

The website, Carroll County Cares, is my Gold Award Project. I observed that in my community, lots of people were always asking about places to volunteer for their children or for themselves as well.

As someone who loves to volunteer for different organizations, I wanted to find a way to easily share my love of helping my community with other people. I hope this website helps you find your favorite places to volunteer so you can have fun helping your community!

Some organizations that I volunteer with are Rita's Closet dress shop in Westminster, Girl Scouts, and as a summer reading volunteer for the Carroll County Public Library! I am a member of the Leo Club at my High School.
